Dermaplane – A facial timeline to your wedding day

You’ve put money into your photos, your dress, your hair, and your makeup, so maybe you’re wondering what else can be done to ensure that everything is perfect on your wedding day.  The answer is, your skin. I had a chance to talk to Stacie Reid, Esthetician and owner of Beauty Made Simply and ask her what facial service she recommends most for your face when creating your wedding day timeline. Here’s what Stacie had to say, “In a perfect world, we would all have naturally glowing, blemish free skin. Unfortunately, most of us need a little help to get that glow, but there are some no downtime treatments to help us get there.

“To get your skin ready for your wedding day, I recommend doing a series of 3 – 5 dermaplane services 4 weeks apart. This will condition your skin to keep any unwanted blemishes at bay while keeping dead skin and facial hair to a minimum. My dermaplane service includes extraction where needed, facial massage, hand and arm massage for relaxation and a mask appropriate for your skin type.

“When the skin is treated with dermaplane it gives your makeup artist a clean, smooth surface to apply a flawless look.”

Personally, I loved the way my skin felt after my dermaplane treatment. Just make sure that if you do decide to schedule this treatment, you do it early enough before your wedding day. You may experience some redness and slight sensitivity for about 24 hours.  If you are worried about any new peach fuzz on your wedding day, you can use a disposable eyebrow shaper (Schick on to ensure a perfect makeup application.
